A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Brad, owner of Eastport Mowing LLC and a fellow Villager. I live in Edenfield.

I started Eastport Mowing after deciding to step back to part time from my career in digital marketing. I wanted more time to enjoy everything The Villages has to offer, spend time with family, and still stay active and productive.

I’ve always enjoyed working outside and, believe it or not, I actually enjoy mowing grass. There’s something satisfying about looking back at a freshly cut lawn when you’re finished. I also consider this my exercise!

Eastport Mowing is intentionally a small, local business. When you contact Eastport Mowing, you’re dealing directly with me, and I’m the person who will be showing up to take care of your lawn.

Service Area: Edenfield, Oak Hollow, Well Point, Shady Brook, Moultrie Creek, Waters Edge, LaGrange, and newer areas around Eastport Town Center.

Your Lawn Service

My regular lawn service includes:

Push mowing
Trimming
Edging
Light weeding
Blowing off driveways, sidewalks, and work areas

Because St. Augustine grass performs best when it isn’t cut too short, I generally maintain lawns at approximately 4 inches or higher, depending on conditions.

As Eastport Mowing grows, I may add additional lawn care, home care and concierge services. I’ll keep my customers updated as new services become available.

Scheduling & Rain Delays

I’ll do my best to keep your lawn on its regular scheduled service day.

Of course, Florida weather sometimes has other plans.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms, saturated lawns or other unsafe conditions may require me to move your service to another day. I may also delay mowing when doing so would help prevent damage to your lawn. This also may mean from time to time you’ll see me on a different day on rainy weeks including Saturday or Sunday. In the event the whole week is a washout, you will see me on your next scheduled visit.

Since Eastport Mowing is currently a one person operation, an occasional illness or unexpected circumstance may also affect the schedule. I’ll treat those situations much like a rain delay and get your lawn taken care of as soon as reasonably possible.

Whenever possible, I’ll communicate schedule changes with you.

Cooler Months & Winter Schedule

During the cooler months, St. Augustine grass grows much more slowly and may not require weekly mowing. Depending on weather and lawn growth, service may be reduced to approximately two cuts per month.

Your regular monthly rate will remain the same throughout the year.

The monthly rate is designed as a year-round lawn service rather than a per-cut charge. The heavier growing months require more frequent service, while the cooler months require less. It also gives me a little breathing room during our beautiful Florida winter to enjoy some of the reasons I moved to The Villages in the first place!

Regular service will increase again as the grass begins to grow actively.

A Few Helpful Things

Please keep gates accessible on your scheduled service day and make sure pets are safely inside while I’m working.

Please remove hoses, toys, decorations and other movable items from the lawn whenever possible. I’ll always be careful around your property, irrigation heads, landscaping and other permanent features.

If you notice something I missed or have a concern about your lawn service, please contact me directly. I would much rather have the opportunity to address it than have you unhappy with your service.
